Quality Assurance Department (QAD)
The Quality Assurance Department (QAD) is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the standards of education, administration, and overall institutional performance. This office ensures that the college meets established benchmarks for quality in all its operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. QAD is managed by the Quality Assurance Director and supported by a QA Officer, QA coordinators from academic departments, and heads of administrative departments who coordinate QA-related matters of their departments. QAD works to improve the College’s performance by meeting national and international quality standards applicable for higher education through the guidance of MoHERI and OAAAQA by applying the ADRI system. This office is particularly responsible for:
- Ensuring implementation of the College’s strategic objectives through the management of the Strategic Plan, Operational Plans, and Action Plans.
- Ensuring all college processes are in place and conducting periodic reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Ensuring that the risk management process of the College is effectively carried out.
- Developing and implementing the plan for quality assurance within the College.
- Ensuring that quality assurance policies and procedures align with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring that all quality assurance activities are conducted in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintaining the College policy register and initiating periodic policy reviews.
- Overseeing the College’s accreditation processes and preparing and submitting accreditation reports as required.
- Establishing mechanisms for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to academic and administrative processes, and using data to identify areas for improvement.
- Conducting routine surveys.
- Coordinating the evaluation of academic programs with the concerned academic departments to ensure they meet defined learning outcomes and quality benchmarks.
- Conducting regular internal audits and reviews of College operations, programs, and services, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending corrective actions.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness.
- Collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on quality assurance initiatives.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of quality assurance activities, audits, and reports.
- Preparing and presenting reports on quality assurance findings and progress to College leadership and governing bodies.
- Staying current with trends and best practices in quality assurance in higher education.
- Benchmarking the College’s performance against other higher education institutions (HEIs).
