I take this opportunity to extend my sincere greetings to the student and teaching community in the Sultanate of Oman, Arab Countries and in the World through the Bayan College website.
Bayan College is the first private Media College at Halban, in the Muscat Governorate of Oman. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and is affiliated with Purdue University – Northwest, USA. This affiliation enables Bayan college students to earn their Diplomas and Bachelor’s degrees in accordance with the Purdue University system following American educational practices but within Oman itself. Through it 2+2 program initiative, Bayan College students can opt for an exchange program or advanced studies, as per their majors and preferences. This program is a testament of the commitment of Bayan College to provide top-class quality education to Oman’s student community. Purdue University has offered this program to overseas students for the first time through its Bayan College affiliation, and this certainly is very encouraging step forward.
We are also very pleased to announce that Bayan College has signed a Memorandum of Student Exchange with Freie University in Berlin, one of the prestigious universities in Germany. We see this as a positive result of our constant endeavors to develop and build strong and renowned educational affiliations and partnerships internationally.
We set out aspiring to be a key player in the higher education community in Oman by providing knowledge and skills that help students achieve their career and objectives in a secure academic environment. We believe we have made significant progress in pursuing these goals.
As a college, we look to the future with optimism and anticipation to scale new heights as we aim to create a generation of students with distinctive and high capabilities in the distinctive majors like Journalism, Broadcasting, Public Relations and Advertising, English Literature and English Professional Writing and a strong General Foundation Programme. The industry-oriented courses are designed to provide students for the dynamic and challenging professional work environment.
These courses are being taught by qualified teaching staff complemented by our state-of-the-art teaching and training facilities. Each member of our staff believes we have a unique opportunity and responsibility to guide and advance the interest of each of our students, to meet their personal and career challenges. As we expand our facilities you will see us branching out to new and exciting fields of study geared to meet the demands of this progressive nation.
Through this portal, we hope to interact with all who are interested in pursuing or influencing education in the field of Media Studies or English Literature. We look forward to this journey of building the next generation of Oman’s talent together.
