Human Resources (HR) Office

The HR Office is responsible for managing recruitment and maintaining staff records.
It facilitates employee orientation and ensures compliance with HR policies and labor laws.
The office handles salary processing and manages employee benefits.
Additionally, the HR team supports expatriate employees, promotes staff retention, and ensures the confidentiality
of employee records, contributing to a positive work environment.

This department is particularly responsible for:

  • Maintaining the HR system in the College portal.
  • Maintaining records of staff attendance and leave.
  • Assisting in meeting Omanisation targets based on national requirements.
  • Implementing recruitment strategies to attract qualified faculty and staff.
  • Coordinating hiring processes, including job postings, interviews, job offers, and contracts.
  • Supporting staff projection, succession planning, and retention strategies.
  • Assisting expatriate employees with visas and related requirements.
  • Ensuring academic appointments are approved by MoHERI.
  • Maintaining the staff database management system.
  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of employee records.
  • Providing orientation for new recruits.
  • Managing employee issues, including conflict resolution and grievances.
  • Ensuring HR policies comply with labor laws and regulations.
  • Coordinating professional development activities to retain qualified and experienced Omani staff.
  • Processing salary reports for the finance department and obtaining Dean’s approval for deductions.
  • Initiating annual staff awards based on performance appraisals.
  • Assisting in implementing the Promotion Policy.
  • Processing resignations and termination benefit settlements.
