Programmes Offered

The English Studies Department offers cutting-edge undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs in English Professional Writing and English Literature — tailor-made for the personal and professional development of students.
On the one hand, students learn about various theories, methods, aesthetics, and praxis through drama, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and creative writing.
On the other hand, they receive structured training in English writing techniques — essays, grammar, research writing, and research methods.

Bachelor

The four-year B.A. in English Professional Writing and B.A. in English Literature programs are designed to shape critical, technical, literary, and stylistic skills in English language and literature.
Students learn through engaging classroom teaching on advanced composition, research writing, modern English grammar, popular culture, history and development of the English language, linguistics, and literary studies.

Beyond the classroom, students participate in practical learning experiences through festivals and exhibits such as English Day, enabling them to showcase their skills and become job-ready.
Graduates pursue diverse careers as teachers, translators, entrepreneurs, copywriters, editors, proofreaders, and other language professionals.

Diploma

Highly interdisciplinary in nature, the Diploma in English Literature and Diploma in English Professional Writing programs provide a short-term yet high-quality learning experience.
Students develop literary, analytical, and aesthetic skills through courses such as research methods, survey of English literature, short stories, English composition, business writing, technical report writing, and creative writing.

These diploma programs prepare learners for diverse careers in teaching, writing, entrepreneurship, media, and mass communication.

Masters

The Master’s Program in English Literature is designed to foster advanced academic and professional growth.
The program includes courses on English language teaching, British fiction, education, thesis writing, and research.

Through mock-teaching, part-time teaching opportunities, thesis preparation, and research publications, students develop both practical and theoretical expertise — preparing them for leadership roles in education, academia, and beyond.
