Programmes offered: The English Studies department program offers cutting-edge undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs in English Professional Writing and English Literature, tailor-made for the personal and professional development of the students. On the one hand, the students learn about the different theories, methods, aesthetics, and praxis through drama, poetry, fictions, non-fictions, and creative writing and on the other hand the students get trained in the structures, styles, and techniques of English language writing through essays, grammar, research writing, and research methods.

Bachelor: The four-year B.A. English Professional Writing and English Literature programs are centered on shaping critical, technical, literary, and stylistic skills in the English language and literature. Across the programs, the students not only learn through classroom teaching about advanced composition, research writing, modern English grammar, introduction to popular culture, history and development of English language, linguistics, nature of literary study, reading and writing skills development, and others, but also get enough scopes to showcase their learning within practical circumstances curated through festivals and exhibits on occasions like English Day and others, which makes them job-ready. After completing this course, the students can associate with professionals like teachers, translators, entrepreneurs, copywriters, copyeditors, proofreaders, and others.

Diploma:  Highly interdisciplinary programs, diplomas in English Literature and English Professional Writings are offered to learners who look forward to a short-term yet quality learning experience. Within both the diploma programs, the students learn different forms of literary, analytical, and aesthetic skills like research methods, survey of English literature, short stories, english composition, business writing, technical report writing, creative writing, etc. which they can explore across diverse professions in teaching, writing, entrepreneurship, media, and mass communication, and various others.

Masters: The Master’s Program in English Literature is offered and designed to generate professional growth. This program consists of courses on English language teaching, British fiction, education, thesis writing, and more. These courses enable the students to develop practical and theoretical skills by applying classroom learning through mock-teaching, part-time teaching exercises, thesis writing, and research publications.
